The more you have your bike fully loaded for a long tour the more wide range of gearing you need. Updated drivetrain now featuring the new Shimano CUES set up and it even has a Front Derailleur ! Of course the mountain bike crowd freaks out and yells WHY a front derailleur on a mountain bike !!!???? But the touring crowd gets it ! The Mega Tour 2.0 is designed to carry you and your gear over a wide variety of terrain. So it needs a wider range of gears, especially lower gears, than a “traditional” 1 X set up! So we have set the Mega Tour 2.0 up with a 2X 36/22T Chainring and a 11-45T Rear 11 Speed Cassette for a ridiculous range and ultra low climbing gear no matter how heavy the load but still plenty fast enough.
